About the Author
William Laliberte of Portland, Maine is the author and illustrator of Tales of Magid: The Kyoto Ordeal.
He has been drawing since an early age, but never thought his art was good enough to do a project as large as a webcomic. After receiving encouragement from an older artist, he started his first comic, Wanderings, in 2004. The comic lacked plot and art quality, and ended after 12 four panel comics. Afterwards, he began to practice drawing again and continued to work on his first book, Tales of Magid: The Kyoto Ordeal. While still writing the first draft, he began drawing the webcomic version of the story. The early art was barely an improvement from his first comic. The comic was hosted on William's Freewebs account for some time until it was moved to DrunkDuck. Over time, the art began to improve and the webcomic was moved to a shared server and finally to it's own website where it currently resides along with the DrunkDuck version.
Currently, he is planning on adapting a side story of the Tales of Magid series to a full length one shot graphic novel. He is also developing a second comic, OverWorld, which at the moment has no plans to be produced until the end of Tales of Magid: The Kyoto Ordeal.
